House 169 is a six-bed residential care home for young adults aged 18 to 65 who have learning disabilities and complex needs, including autism, ADHD, mental health, and behaviors that can be challenging. It is located in the village of Chellaston on the outskirts of Derby.

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals in need, including those in our Residential care home and Supported living evironments. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, medication administration, and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with various needs.
  • Support clients in daily living activities and promote their independence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to develop individualised care plans.
  • Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies while providing first aid when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in care or assisted living is preferred but not necessary
