Arch are recruiting for a Senior Actuarial Analyst with experience in London Market pricing to join the Pricing team. The role will support the Pricing function in a number of key areas:
- Take responsibility for the day to day pricing for several lines of business.
- The development and maintenance of pricing models (including the transition of pricing models from Excel to HX Renew where necessary). As part of the initiative to transition from Excel models to online platforms, experience in HX Renew and EASA are required.
- Large account analysis and pricing: Use sophisticated actuarial techniques to assess the pricing adequacy of large account opportunities and communicate results and key drivers to underwriters and senior management. Communication is a key part of this role.
- Portfolio Management: Develop reports and analysis to monitor the performance of segments within Arch’s London Market insurance business and communicate key findings to underwriters and senior management.
- Exposure to other functions including Reserving and Planning will be expected.
- Be a key communication channel with our actuarial team in Manila.
The candidate must:
- Have several years of experience in London Market pricing.
- Have technical proficiency in Excel, with proficiency in SQL, Python and/or HX Renew an advantage.
- Be undertaking an Actuarial qualification.
- Be a problem solver, be inquisitive and work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Be personable and able to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
