The main purpose of the role is to support the Risk Function’s business risk partners to ensure the operation of an effective and robust enterprise risk management framework across Arch’s Lloyd’s, London Market and UK P&C businesses.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Support in the ongoing development of the entity risk registers.
- Assist with the review of risk policies.
- Support the business risk partners in the quarterly risk assessments, risk reviews, controls assessments, KRI updates, and other risk management activities as required.
- Provide support to ensure that the ORSA process is undertaken in accordance with the ORSA Policy, including collation of information and preparation of the ORSA reports.
- Assist in the investigation of risk events, control failings or weaknesses, and monitoring risk function actions.
- Support the emerging risks process.
- Assist in preparing risk and control information for internal and external audiences including relevant Committees and the Board.
- Provide risk management training, and ongoing support, to stakeholders.
- Play a key role in the development and maintenance of the Risk Function’s GRC tool (Decision Focus), including training system users.
Skills / Competencies:
- Knowledge of the components of a Risk Management Framework would be preferable.
- GRC tool experience, preferably Decision Focus.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and challenge.
- Must be aligned with Arch’s values and behaviours, including being a committed team player and having a positive mindset.
Qualifications:
- Preferably educated to degree level.
Experience:
- At least one year of Risk Management experience in the insurance sector, preferably in Lloyd’s or the London Market.
