Summer Internship Programme
During your 8-week internship as an Analytics Engineer, you will collaborate with Digital Product Managers (DPMs), business system owners, team members, and users to capture business requirements and translate them into actionable analytics solutions. You will develop skills in data engineering, analytics, and reporting, using modern tools and techniques to deliver insights through dashboards, reports, and data models. You will gain hands-on experience in:
- Data analysis and transformation
- Building and maintaining data pipelines
- Developing and visualizing dashboards and reports
- Working with cloud and enterprise data platforms
- Applying analytics to solve real business problems
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data into the enterprise data warehouse.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models and reporting solutions.
- Assisting in the documentation and mapping of data sources, data flows, and data lineage within the data warehouse environment.
- Conducting data quality checks and validation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in the warehouse.
- Building and maintaining dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) connected to the data warehouse.
- Participating in the testing and deployment of new data warehouse features and enhancements, working closely with QA and engineering colleagues.
- Troubleshooting data issues and supporting root cause analysis for data discrepancies or performance bottlenecks.
- Learning and applying best practices in data governance, security, and compliance within the data warehouse context.
- Presenting findings and prototypes to stakeholders to validate requirements and demonstrate the value of analytics solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
Expected/achieved minimum 2:1 classification in any IT-related degree discipline. Arch seeks candidates who have excelled in previous work experience, demonstrated outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement, possess strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills, and are enthusiastic about the insurance industry.
