As the Data Governance Analyst within our Chief Data Office, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management, compliance, and integrity of our data assets. Your skills and expertise will contribute to building a data-driven culture, treating data as a true asset as well as creating best practices across our organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional with a passion for data governance to be part of the creation of a best-in-class data governance framework.

In this role you will:

  • Assist in implementing the data governance framework, policies, procedures, and standards across the business.
  • Work with business stakeholders and your team to ensure data dictionary and data lineage is captured for all critical data elements.
  • Partner with business units and IT to ensure data is accurate, complete, and properly managed.
  • Engage with stewards and SMEs to create and maintain a data dictionary and metadata repository.
  • Assist in the creation of decks for data governance forums and contribute in these forums.
  • Help create data governance training modules and assist in running these sessions with business users.
  • Participate and run data stewards' forums, provide guidance on data ownership queries and act as an SME on data governance related questions.
  • Maintain a forward-looking agenda and backlog to support data stewards resolve issues raised in the data catalogue, definition and data quality etc.
  • Contribute to monitoring and tracking of the operational KPIs as well as key risks indicators for the data governance programme.
  • Assist in the creation of newsletters, data governance knowledge hub, training materials, slides and how to guides for the Chief Data Office.

  • Experience and working knowledge of Data Governance methodologies and experience implementing these in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience with Collibra or another data governance tool.

Nice to haves:

  • Hold a relevant data governance methodology (e.g. DAMA CDMP, DCAM or similar).
