Experteer Overview In this role you will support regional profitability and growth by delivering efficient service to brokers and managing the regional account in line with strategy and financial plans. You will operate with autonomy within defined parameters, balance risk with opportunities, and contribute to GWP and income targets. You'll collaborate across claims and survey teams while developing underwriting capability within the branch. This is a hands-on, regionally focused role that shapes underwriting outcomes and broker relationships. A strong systems-facing, technically-grounded mindset will help you drive impact in a collaborative, performance-driven culture. Pay / Benefits
- Achieve profitability, growth and expense targets by managing KPIs for the region. Write new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments up to authority/binder limits. Attend to relationships with key directors and staff at major brokers to raise Arch's local standing. Contribute to income and GWP targets while working towards target loss ratios and rate targets. Ensure survey requests, overviews and policy documents are processed with relevant reporting tools. Conduct case reviews to ensure QA procedures are followed. Support underwriting staff development with technical guidance. Handle referral cases above authority levels while adhering to limits. Provide technical and market intelligence feedback to the Regional Director and wider team. Maintain knowledge of relevant technical issues and collaborate with claims and survey teams. Tasks At least 3 years' experience in Commercial underwriting or broking. Proven broker account development and management. Ability to negotiate flexibly to manage a profitable portfolio. Experience winning, renewing and managing individual cases and books of business. Effective selling skills and influencing/negotiation capability. Risk perception, risk selection and pricing of risk. Track record in developing trading relationships and cross-functional collaboration. Structured, goal-driven work approach.
