  • Leading a team of 6 traders in AM Shipping.
  • Fixing vessels for cargo and cargo for vessels.
  • Handling a volume of 75 million metric tonnes of cargo trade.
  • Securing market cargo and operating ships on spot as well as on medium to long term.
  • Preparing quarterly and annual freight budget.
  • Demonstrating good strategic thinking for efficient freight management.
  • Negotiating contract terms for both voyage and time charter parties.
  • Demonstrating sound knowledge of all routes in the world for dry cargo shipping.

Education:

  • Degree preferably related to Maritime Industry.

Skills & Specifications:

  • Good at Mathematics and negotiation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of basic maritime contracts like charter parties.
  • Good commercial sense and broking skills.
  • Team player with good leadership qualities.
  • Good HR skills.
  • Good connections with ship owners, cargo owners and brokers.
  • Entrepreneurial skills in addition to managerial skills.

Work experience requirements:

  • At least 10 years' experience with dry cargo shipping at a senior level.
  • Extensive exposure to the dry cargo market for supermax to capsize.
  • Good at voyage estimation.
  • Familiar with the latest rules of decarbonisation.
  • Good at taking views on the world economy.

Languages:

  • Sound knowledge of English and ability to communicate in English.
