Mission of the Candidate
As the Tax specialist, you will support the Country Tax Director in the delivery and Corporate Tax compliance and reporting for the UK entities of the ArcelorMittal Group as well as assisting in other indirect and employment tax compliance as required. The role will include involvement in development and maintenance of risk management processes as well as assisting in responding to HMRC enquiries. This is a diverse role, perfect for someone who is looking to take their first step into an in‑house position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support delivery/onboarding of an in‑house direct tax compliance and reporting function.
- Review and preparation of returns and financial statement disclosures.
- Assist Country Tax Director in managing relationship with HMRC and responding to enquiries.
- Identify and support delivery of Digital Transformation opportunities within the Tax function.
- Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
- Assist with transfer pricing, employment tax, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
- Support Country Tax Director providing tax advisory and risk management to Corporate and other internal stakeholders across jurisdictions.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance or postgraduate qualifications.
Skills & Specifications
ACA or CTA/equivalent qualified tax specialists (Newly Qualified up to 3 years PQE).
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in Tax, compliance knowledge/experience is an advantage.
