Introduction ArcelorMittal South Africa is looking to recruit Instrument Mechanics. The responsibilities include: Day-to-day maintenance of equipment High-level installation, commissioning, maintenance, and reconditioning of instrumentation equipment Implementation of systems within the instrumentation environment Completing tasks as requested by SAP work orders, notifications, schedules, and defect reports Performing advanced fault finding Accepting specific technical responsibilities during plant shutdowns and modifications Providing technical advisory and support to maintenance and production personnel Calibrating equipment such as transmitters, pH meters, valves Standby duties Development and improvement of products Qualifications: Grade 12 / N3 / NCV 3 (NQF 4) Experience and Requirements: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience Advanced knowledge of instrumentation systems and maintenance of measuring and control equipment Knowledge of DCS and PLC systems ABB DCS knowledge is advantageous Rockwell PLC programming skills Personal Attributes: Proactive and performance-driven Analytical and problem-solving skills Coaching abilities Excellent knowledge of level, flow, temperature, and pressure control systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
