Strengthen global alignment and collaboration across regions, functions, and R&D to maximise commercial effectiveness and consistency.

Job Description

Enable the Head of Global Automotive to drive strategy, performance, and growth by ensuring structured coordination and rigorous governance across the global automotive organisation. Drive impactful global automotive communications and marketing governance to support strategic priorities and reinforce ArcelorMittal’s leadership positioning with key customers. You will oversee Global Automotive operations across Europe, North America, South America and VAMA, as well as AMTB business units in Europe, North America and GONVVAMA. You will manage a team of 1 FTE, including 1 Commercial Controller and 0.1 Communication Manager support.

What will be your main accountabilities?

  • Strategy Coordination & Governance: Owns the biannual preparation and on-time submission of the Global Automotive strategy (mid-year) and budget (end-year), ensuring clear structure and full alignment with corporate objectives. Includes coordination with the different stakeholders (regional business units, Global R&D, …) to ensure their inputs are delivered on-time and to a high standard. Prepare structure and content for the sections of strategy and budget owned by CMO Global Automotive department. Support the Head of Global Automotive with planning, structure and content preparation for monthly Global Automotive Management Committee.
  • Strategy Execution: Coordinate global–regional alignment on strategy execution and monitor key contract negotiations to ensure they support strategic and financial targets. Interaction with the regions, R&D, AMTB and others on topics ranging from Strategy to Pricing, Financial Performance, Communication, etc. Foster cross-regional collaboration by sharing best practices, aligning analyses and ensuring regional teams are equipped with relevant data and tools for negotiations and decision-making.
  • Performance Management: Act as the single coordination point for automotive performance management, consolidating group-wide KPIs (volume, price, turnover, EBITDA) and transforming them into actionable insights for senior leadership and the Executive Office. Design and facilitate monthly Pricing Committee reviews, ensuring robust, data-driven discussion of performance and strategic topics. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of critical reporting (quarterly performance updates, earnings materials, investor relations Q&As, Executive Office files).
  • Communications & Marketing: Continually develop and execute the Global Auto communications and marketing strategy in alignment with the overall Global Automotive strategy, including message tracks and tools to promote ArcelorMittal’s automotive solutions to key customers. In accordance with the Global Automotive strategy, ensure special focus on promoting ArcelorMittal Multi Part Integration ® and other high-added value steel solutions. Steer the rebuild and subsequent upkeep of the Global Automotive website, integrating search engine optimisation (SEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO) into the process. Continue to grow the Global Auto LinkedIn channel in terms of reach, impressions and engagement rate. Strengthen governance with regional communications teams, providing clear frameworks, tools and checkpoints to ensure consistent global messaging and efficient content reuse.
  • Support to the Head of Global Automotive: Provide ad hoc support to the Head of Global Automotive as required to sustain and grow the automotive franchise globally. Support the Head of Global Automotive in the preparation of various presentations for internal and external audiences. Ensure the effectiveness of our sales and marketing global network: Maintain collaboration and team spirit, Organise exchanges between regions, Organise internal conferences.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience: Proven experience in a global, matrix organisation, supporting senior leadership at executive level, with strong exposure to strategy coordination, performance management, and cross-functional governance. Solid background in commercial strategy and experience working with financial data, pricing, and senior-level reporting. Working knowledge of the automotive sector and automotive steel value chain, with an understanding of OEM requirements, product positioning, and the commercial dynamics of global automotive markets. Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted partner, coordinating complex stakeholder networks, driving execution, and communicating with clarity and discretion at executive level.
  • Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, engineering, economics, or equivalent).
  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Working proficiency in French, German and/or Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable.
