Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 6 traders in AM Shipping
- Fix vessels for cargo and cargo for vessels
- Handle a volume of 75 million mt cargo trade; secure market cargo and operate ships on spot and on medium to long term
- Prepare quarterly and annual freight budget
- Demonstrate good strategic thinking for efficient freight management
- Negotiate contract terms for both voyage and time charter parties
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of all routes in the world for dry cargo shipping
Education:
- Degree preferably related to Maritime Industry
Skills & Specifications:
- Good at mathematics, negotiation skills, sound knowledge of basic maritime contracts like charter parties
- Good commercial sense
- Good broking skills
- Team player, good leadership quality, good HR skills
- Good connection with ship owners, cargo owners and brokers
- Entrepreneurial skills not only managerial skills
Work Experience Requirements:
- At least 10 years' experience with dry cargo shipping at senior level
- Extensive exposure to dry cargo market for 'superamax' to capsize
- Good at voyage estimate
- Familiar with latest rules of decarbonization
- Good at taking view on the world economy
Languages:
- Sound knowledge of English, able to communicate in English
