Chartering Manager (m/f)
Responsibilities
- Entity: AM Shipping
- Field of activity: Group Finance
- Report to: Nitin Mehrotra
- Functional links: Raw Materials Chartering
- Working location: London
- Lead a team of 6 traders in AM Shipping
- Fix vessels for cargo and cargo for vessels
- Handle a volume of 75 million mt cargo trade; secure market cargo and operate ships on spot and on medium to long term
- Prepare quarterly and annual freight budget
- Demonstrate good strategic thinking for efficient freight management
- Negotiate contract terms for both voyage and time charter parties
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of all routes in the world for dry cargo shipping
Education
Degree preferably related to Maritime Industry
Skills & Specifications
- Good at mathematics, negotiation skill, sound knowledge of basic maritime contracts like charter parties
- Good commercial sense
- Good broking skill
- Team player, good leadership quality, good HR skill
- Good connection with ship owners, cargo owners and brokers
- Entrepreneurial skill not only managerial skill
Work Experience Requirements
At least 10 yearsโ experience with dry cargo shipping at senior level. Extensive exposure to dry cargo market for โsuperamaxโ to capsize. Good at voyage estimate. Familiar with latest rules of decarbonization. Good at taking view on the world economy.
Languages
Sound knowledge of English, able to communicate in English.
