We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control across major hospital and healthcare construction projects. Working within highly regulated, safety‑critical environments, you will ensure that all works meet statutory regulations, clinical requirements, and the highest standards of build quality. You will play a key role in protecting patient safety, supporting smooth handovers to clinical teams, and ensuring that facilities are delivered right first time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) for hospital construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, NHS, HTM/HBN, statutory, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead quality planning, inspection, testing, and audit processes across all construction activities
  • Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality documentation
  • Monitor and manage non‑conformances, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, design teams, contractors, and clinical stakeholders
  • Support infection control, commissioning, certification, and handover processes
  • Manage quality records, O&M documentation, and as‑built information to meet healthcare standards
  • Promote a positive quality culture across project teams and the wider supply chain
  • Support readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory approvals

About You

You are a detail‑focused quality professional with experience delivering complex construction projects in regulated or healthcare environments.

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within construction
  • Strong understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
  • Experience working on healthcare, hospital, or similarly regulated projects
  • Knowledge of construction QA/QC processes, inspections, and documentation
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast‑paced site environments

Desirable

  • Experience with NHS standards, HTMs/HBNs, infection control, or clinical environments
  • Background in MEP‑heavy or technically complex projects
  • Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting commissioning and soft landings processes
