A growing technology-focused business is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of its internal IT environment. This is a hands-on role covering Azure, M365, networking and day-to-day support, with the opportunity to lead small projects and work closely with technical teams across the organisation.

You’ll be the senior point of contact for internal IT, supporting a junior engineer and working across a broad mix of systems, sites and technologies. It’s an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and taking full ownership of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration and support across Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Microsoft 365
  • Managing user lifecycle: starters, leavers, permissions, aliases
  • Supporting head office users and static sites (approx. 100 accounts)
  • Networking tasks including VLANs, port forwarding, routers and firewalls
  • Working with technical installation teams on CCTV and related systems
  • Leading small projects end-to-end (e.g., telephony changes, AI rollouts, system improvements)
  • Supporting internal development and new technology initiatives
  • Acting as senior escalation point for the junior engineer
  • General BAU support across internal systems

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years’ experience in infrastructure or systems engineering
  • Strong Microsoft cloud skills: Azure, Entra, Intune, M365
  • Solid networking fundamentals
  • Comfortable working in a small, varied environment
  • Proactive, resourceful and able to take ownership of projects
  • Happy to get involved in both senior-level work and day-to-day support
  • Experience in internal IT or MSP environments is ideal
