Overview
In this role you will lead electrical design work for buildings within the Places Design Practice, delivering efficient, integrated electrical solutions for diverse clients. You will collaborate with a cross‑disciplinary team to meet budgets and timelines while upholding quality standards. The role emphasizes applying analytical and technical writing skills to resolve design challenges and support client needs. Responsibilities
- Work on technical aspects of small projects or components of larger ones, ensuring budget, timeline, and quality objectives are met
- Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary Arcadians team to integrate overall design
- Prepare accurate drawings, specifications, reports and project documentation
- Contribute to resolving technical issues at project level under supervision of a Senior Engineer
Key requirements
- BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering
- Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Previous relevant experience designing electrical systems within buildings
- Understanding of how design elements interface with the client
- Teamwork and collaboration
