Overview
In this Senior Engineer role within the Renewables team, you will lead design work and develop technical specifications and contractual documents for renewable projects.
You will work on a range of technologies (offshore/onshore wind, BESS, solar, HVDC) and progress assignments from concept through to operation, while mentoring junior engineers.
The role offers flexible UK-based locations and a chance to shape scalable, safe, and constructible designs for clients.

Responsibilities
- Create design deliverables including technical specifications and contractual documentation
- Perform design analysis and review others' work for quality
- Deliver detailed designs and consultancy across project lifecycle
- Resolve technical problems and advise clients/stakeholders
- Lead projects and manage deliverables to timescales and budgets
- Develop personal and company profiles within client base and industry
- Support project delivery teams from a technical perspective
- Deliver safe and constructible designs with CDM awareness
- Lead design innovations that add value for client and company
- Key requirements
- Experience in offshore renewables (offshore wind) OR onshore renewables (onshore wind or solar PV) OR energy storage (BESS) OR submarine cable systems OR HVDC
- Power systems analysis and modelling using DIg SILENT Power Factory, PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP, CYMCAP
- UK grid compliance (G5/5, P28) and grid connection processes
- Chartered MIET membership or chartership in progress or achieved (desirable)
- Understanding of UK HSE legislation, Risk and CDM management
- Ability to travel to meet clients when necessary
- Stakeholder management
