We are seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join our team focused on delivering projects for Higher Education clients across the UK. The successful candidate will have a strong project‑management background with a proven track record of supporting or delivering projects for clients in the Education sector, particularly within Higher Education, in a professional capacity. This role involves managing diverse tasks simultaneously, with a focus on service delivery, account leadership and bid writing. You must be confident engaging directly with clients and possess excellent time‑management skills to meet deadlines and maintain project profitability.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead operational teams by setting objectives, managing performance and ensuring staff have the necessary skills.
- Translate business goals into financial targets, business cases and project plans while managing budgets and profitability.
- Manage complex, multi‑disciplinary projects with mid‑ to long‑term timelines to meet delivery standards.
- Monitor team performance and enforce organisational policies and codes of conduct.
- Ensure contract compliance with delivery parameters and scope.
- Analyse data and advise clients and stakeholders on project impacts.
- Develop and improve project management processes aligned with business objectives.
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Provide technical expertise and strategic advice to senior managers.
- Build and maintain client relationships, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
- Lead account management and bid writing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional experience supporting or delivering projects as a Project Manager for clients in the Education sector (Higher Education experience highly desirable).
- Laboratory project experience preferred.
- Proven ability in managing complex projects and leading teams.
- Recognised project‑management expertise in your field.
- Experience managing executive‑level business relationships.
- Account leadership and bid writing experience.
