Our Scotland Transport Planning team are recruiting for an experienced Principal Transport Planner to manage projects and client accounts and lead teams focussed on supporting clients to deliver their objectives and outcomes. A key focus will be developing our STAG assessment and strategic transport planning capability in Scotland. Additionally, candidates will need to demonstrate bid writing experience and the ability to win pipeline opportunities.
The Transport Planning team is involved in some of the UK’s most high profile, complex and stimulating transport and development projects that are diverse and technically demanding. We have an enviable reputation in the delivery of some of the UK’s and indeed the world’s most prestigious and challenging projects. Our client portfolio includes the City of Edinburgh Council, Glasgow City Council, Homes England, HS2, and national housebuilders, architects, planners, land promoters and property developers.

The Transport Planning team operates across the UK, with a presence in Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, the South East, Midlands, North of England, as well as offices in Wales. We require a proven Transport Planner to join our growing team in Scotland to work on existing and upcoming projects. You should be experienced in the successful delivery and management of projects and teams, ideally in both the private and public sectors. Educated to degree level or above, preferably in transport planning or traffic engineering. We are seeking a motivated individual, confident at communicating and presenting to internal and external clients. The successful individual should have a rounded skill set in transport planning work, together with experience in public consultation, transport modelling, and report writing.
