Role Description

Arcadis is working across major capital investment programmes across Northern England – multi‑million and multi‑billion £ schemes – in the infrastructure, transportation, and buildings sectors. We collaborate with a variety of clients and across the supply chain to ensure programmes are delivered effectively, efficiently, and to clients’ requirements. Our ‘One Arcadis’ team delivers multi‑disciplinary solutions, combining expertise in project & programme management, controls, cost & commercial, design & engineering, digital intelligence, and advisory skillsets. Due to recent wins and further growth plans in Northern England, we are looking for energetic and well‑rounded project management professionals to join our Major Projects team across construction management, project planning & controls, and full life‑cycle project management – from early‑stage business case production and development management through to design, construction and handover. The individual will join our programme management & controls team, providing solutions for key clients across transportation, infrastructure and buildings sectors.

Role Accountabilities

  • Hold client‑facing delivery roles, working directly with key customers on major projects in infrastructure and transportation, bringing best‑practice project management, construction management, planning, controls and risk solutions to delight clients.
  • Bring project‑management, construction‑management, planning, controls and risk‑management expertise and learning to major projects, integrating multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated and value‑adding controls solutions.
  • Act as ambassador for Arcadis’ digital controls solutions, engaging our data science and digital‑analytics teams to deliver transformative and efficient digital controls solutions.
  • Be an active member in Arcadis’ Global Project & Programme Controls community, supporting the growth and development of yourself, our people, and those within our clients, partners and wider industry bodies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional experience in project management, construction management, and/or planning and controls across infrastructure, transportation, and/or buildings projects.
  • Well‑rounded professionals with qualifications across project management, construction management, project controls, planning (schedule management), risk management, digital solutions, and cost engineering.
  • A solid understanding across these areas is required, combined with a passion for learning, growth, and agility.
  • Experience working across the supply chain, including perspectives from client‑side, consultant, contractor and designer.
  • Experience spanning all stages of the project/programme life cycle – mobilisation, set‑up, delivery, handover and benefits realisation across a variety of projects.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Qualifications aligned to Project Controls, Planning and/or Risk Management such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), APM’s Planning and Controls Certifications, Oracle P6 Certifications and Risk Management Certification.
  • Additional qualifications such as NEC4 Practitioners, Site Supervision / Clerk of Works and Business Change are desirable.
