Overview

In this role you will oversee QA/QC activities on a major data centre construction project in Finland, ensuring workmanship standards and project specs are met. You will work on-site with cross-functional teams, and contribute to commissioning and handover processes. You’ll translate QA/QC requirements into BIM-based workflows and drive continual improvement. This is a hands-on position with potential international travel, offering a chance to shape quality outcomes on a high-profile project.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee CSA activities on-site across construction and handover phases
  • Review and approve ITPs and check-sheets; benchmark workmanship standards
  • Verify ongoing works against benchmarks and established standards
  • Develop QA/QC checklists and convert them to BIM format for asset use
  • Ensure contractors comply with ITPs and complete QC checklists in BIM 360
  • Confirm adherence to project specifications, IFC drawings, codes and standards
  • Identify discrepancies and escalate/expedite resolutions
  • Verify calibration status of monitoring equipment
  • Monitor and review red-line drawings and as-built records
  • Escalate quality issues to PMC Quality Manager as needed
  • Provide guidance to SPCs for continual improvement
  • Assist startup and commissioning protocols; witness commissioning of HVAC, pumps, piping, etc.
  • Sign-off completed works before energisation; capture lessons learned for continual improvement

Key requirements

  • CSA inspection experience in data centres or mission-critical environments
  • Experience on large-scale projects; data centres preferred
  • Strong ability to interpret design information
  • Solid understanding of local regulations and project management principles
  • Strong IT skills (BIM 360 & Google Suite)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Independent, proactive, and solution-oriented with attention to detail
