Overview
In this client-side Project Manager role, you will oversee enabling works for a high-profile hyperscale data centre programme, ensuring safe, compliant delivery and smooth interfaces across multiple workstreams. You’ll coordinate earthworks, remediation, drainage, and logistics while managing planning, permits, and interfaces with design, substation, and construction teams. The role focuses on readiness for subsequent data centre construction and delivers tight programme control and risk management. Responsibilities
- Lead Phase A enabling works handover and mobilization activities for Phase B
- Manage Phase B enabling works for DC03 and DC04 through February 2027, including piling interfaces
- Oversee Phase C enabling works through December 2027 with DC01/DC02 construction interfaces
- Coordinate earthworks, land remediation, drainage, temporary works interfaces, access roads, logistics routes, and piling platform readiness
- Coordinate planning condition discharge and ongoing permitting requirements
- Interface with substation construction and power delivery for adjacent packages
- Monitor contractor performance against programme, progress, quality, and environmental obligations
- Manage risk, issues, change, progress, and delivery status; report as required
- Coordinate with design consultants on CSA design matters, RFIs, and change management
- Ensure CSA readiness to support follow-on data centre construction activities
Key requirements
- Proven experience in enabling works, earthworks, remediation, or large-scale CSA infrastructure delivery
- Strong understanding of programme management, planning conditions, permits, stakeholder interfaces, and contractor coordination
- Experience with piling platforms, haul roads, temporary drainage, logistics planning, and environmental obligations
- Ability to monitor delivery and drive accountability while maintaining boundaries around contractor means/methods/sequencing
- Strong reporting, issue management, escalation, and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience in large, complex construction or infrastructure programmes
