Overview
As Commercial Director, you will lead a major data centre project in the Nordics, shaping commercial strategy and governance. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver outputs that meet client goals, while developing and mentoring the commercial team. You’ll serve as the primary client contact for cost reporting and quality assurance, and ensure contract compliance. This role combines leadership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement to drive innovative, value‑driven project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead large/complex projects and ensure outputs meet client expectations
- Line-manage and develop Cost and Commercial Specialists across projects
- Act as primary client contact for cost and commercial reporting and QA
- Review team outputs before client submission and for external groups
- Maintain alignment with client objectives and contract delivery parameters
- Improve cost and commercial management systems and processes through best practices
- Drive service improvements and foster innovation across projects
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying (Engineering, Construction Management)
- Professional certification such as RICS, AACE or similar
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes and cost & commercial management
- Experience leading smaller projects and supporting larger ones
- Experience delivering analysis and insights
- Experience building client relationships with external stakeholders
