Role Description
Due to significant growth in the Arcadis Defence sector, we are recruiting for positions working alongside our client organisation and in client-side roles, to deliver a wide range of high-profile projects.
While specific clearances are not required on application, due to the nature of these projects eligibility for SC security clearance is essential.
Role Accountabilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing technical aspects of projects or components of larger projects, meeting financial, quality and timeframe objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
You will work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution and you’ll participate in the development of technical proposals. You will also present technical solutions to clients.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will lead reviews of project deliverables on behalf on the mechanical engineering discipline and you’ll be expected to manage project teams, ensuring work is allocated appropriately, resources are fully utilised and that any issues are resolved.
Qualifications & Experience

- A BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Chartered Engineer (CEng)
- Previous relevant experience in a consultancy environment
- Previous experience working on Nuclear or Defence projects preferable
- Capability to provide mechanical building services expertise
- Existing SC clearance or the eligibility to achieve SC security clearance is essential
