We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our Geotechnical and Tunnelling team as a Principal Engineer. In this role, you will play a key technical and leadership role, contributing to innovative projects focused on exciting tunnel projects across Europe, tunnel asset management, and new build developments. Our work is both challenging and rewarding, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on infrastructure development.
As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to a talented group of engineers and professionals, working on technically demanding projects that are essential to the future of infrastructure. Role And Responsibilities- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate detailed knowledge of structural and geotechnical aspects of tunnel design, tunnelling methodologies, and construction practices. Apply your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Provide technical guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and encouraging professional growth within the team.
- Project Oversight: Manage projects by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and exceeded.
- Innovative Solutions: Contribute to the development of sustainable and forward-thinking engineering solutions that enhance communities and drive progress in infrastructure.
- Significant expertise in geotechnical and tunnelling engineering, with experience in both new build and asset management projects.
- Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent), with a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience in delivering complex engineering projects with a focus on quality, safety, and sustainability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client and team relationships.
