As an Associate/Senior Cost Consultant, you will lead the delivery of cost management on rail-related projects, including HS2. You will be responsible for utilizing resources effectively to meet project standards in cost, time, and quality, leveraging your substantial technical knowledge and experience. You will manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for service improvement.
Role Accountabilities
- Leading, coaching, and developing team members to enhance cost management service delivery in the rail sector.
- Creating project costings and budgets for rail projects, managing finances to achieve profit and budgetary targets.
- Leading and managing cost management assignments, ensuring delivery standards meet client expectations.
- Demonstrating understanding of client objectives within the rail sector, specifically regarding cost management.
- Monitoring team performance and ensuring compliance with organizational policies related to cost control.
- Assuring compliance with contracts concerning project delivery parameters and cost management.
- Analyzing complex cost data and providing recommendations for project decision‐making.
- Supporting the development of current cost and commercial management systems tailored to rail projects.
- Driving innovation in cost management to improve services and increase team contribution.
- Building valued relationships with senior clients and stakeholders for client satisfaction and business opportunities in the rail sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
- CSCS card holder.
- Relevant professional experience in delivering medium/large rail projects across an entire project lifecycle, including projects like HS2.
- Extensive experience in cost and commercial management within the rail sector.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others in cost management roles.
