We are seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join our team, supporting Higher Education clients across the UK. This role focuses on the delivery of construction, capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, and estate development programmes.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction project management and experience delivering projects from initial planning and procurement through to construction, handover, and close out. You will be comfortable working within complex stakeholder environments and building trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
Alongside project delivery, you will manage multiple priorities, support client account growth, contribute to bid activities, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and commercially successfully. Experience working with Higher Education clients is highly desirable.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead construction and capital projects for Higher Education clients from inception through to handover and close out.
- Manage project budgets, programmes, risks, governance processes, and contract compliance requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting account development and long-term partnerships.
- Contribute to bid submissions, tender responses, and proposal development activities.
- Drive high-quality project delivery, ensuring programme, cost, quality, and risk objectives are achieved.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction or built environment sector.
- Experience delivering capital projects, refurbishment, fit-out, infrastructure, or estate development schemes.
- Strong client management, commercial awareness, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing complex projects within live operational environments.
- Experience working with Higher Education clients is preferred.
- Bid writing, tender management, or account management experience is desirable.
- Experience delivering laboratory, research, or other specialist technical building projects would be advantageous.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful track record in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent client service and commercial outcomes.
