Join our Local Government team as an Associate Director – Project Management, delivering high-profile projects across London and the South-East. We’re looking for someone with a consultancy background and proven experience managing Local Government projects. You’ll lead service delivery on complex housing and regeneration schemes, providing strategic direction and senior leadership for local authority clients from project inception to completion.
Role accountabilities:
- Deliver high-quality, profitable consultancy services on multi-million-pound Local Government projects
- Develop and manage project plans, risk, change, and programme delivery
- Lead multi-disciplinary consultancy teams, including Arcadis colleagues and external partners
- Act as Employer’s Agent (JCT) or Project Manager (NEC), administering contracts and safeguarding client interests
- Manage stakeholder relationships and negotiations with local authorities and partners
- Ensure compliance with public sector procurement processes and drive innovation in project delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
- Consultancy background is essential with substantial experience on Local Government or public sector projects
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, APM, CIOB, or equivalent)
- Experience leading housing, regeneration, or mixed-use projects
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement, contract administration, and multi-disciplinary team leadership
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- A digital mindset and passion for delivering outstanding client outcomes
