Due to recent wins and further plans for growth across Northern England, we are looking for energetic and well‑rounded risk management professionals to join our team, providing solutions for our key clients across the transportation, infrastructure and buildings sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver risk and value management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate risk workshops, identify risk drivers, and maintain risk registers and action plans.
- Develop, validate and run quantitative cost and schedule risk models to produce probabilistic forecasts.
- Provide clear risk reporting and insight to stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients.
- Advise project teams on mitigation, contingency, allocation of risk, and commercial implications.
- Support governance and escalation of significant risks; ensure consistent application of risk frameworks and standards.
- Coach and mentor junior team members (for senior roles) and contribute to capability building.
- Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes and data quality for risk management.
Essential skills & experience
- Practical experience in project, programme or enterprise risk management (scale/level will vary by role).
- Strong analytical skills with ability to build and interpret risk models and present probabilistic outcomes.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders across technical and commercial functions.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract/forecasting implications of risk.
- Proficiency with ARM, Safran, @Risk or alternative risk/scheduling tools; capability to learn proprietary tools.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information simply.
Desirable skills and qualifications
- Professional risk qualification or training (e.g., MoR, IRM Certificate/Diploma) or working toward one.
- Membership of Institute of Risk Management (IRM).
- Rail experience.
