Working with leading water companies and contractors, we provide innovative solutions across major clean water and wastewater programmes that enhance resilience, sustainability and long-term environmental outcomes.We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing team, supporting the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the UK. You will work alongside experienced technical specialists and project leaders, contributing to the delivery of industry-leading solutions for our framework clients.Role accountabilities:Take a lead role on civil design and/or packages of workExcellent communication skillsLiaise with other disciplines and coordinate designs with team members and supply chainLiaison with client, the supply chain and other project stakeholdersPreparation of high-quality design drawings and associated other Construction-Ready documentationPreparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverablesWork in accordance with our Business Management processes and proceduresAssist in achieving wider business goals for positive Safety, Health, Quality and Sustainability outcomesPromote a culture of innovation and fostering continuous improvementDevelop hands-on experience of commercial, programme and financial mattersMentor and support the development of less experienced members of staffQualifications & Experience:Degree in Civil Engineering or other directly related degreeChartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as ICE, CIWEM, IWOStrong technical design experience on water projectsGood working knowledge and understanding of Water Industry Clients and ContractorsGood delf-motivation, influencing and people management skillsKnowledge and experience of BIM led design anddigital tools such as REVIT / Civils 3DGood working knowledge and understanding of the applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice and Water Specifications.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
