Role description

Our graduate GROW programme is a structured 3-year programme, designed to help you evolve and develop skills to become an experienced professional in your chosen field. You’ll benefit from training and development, mentoring, and assistance for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the support and guidance you need to develop and succeed. As a GROW graduate you will be empowered to drive your career and will be exposed to a variety of experiences to assist you in gaining the skills you require to succeed.

As a specialist and science graduate joining GROW you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. Working in teams of consultants you’ll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets and technical expertise. You’ll work on a range of environmental and planning projects which may include major infrastructure, urban regeneration and community focussed projects that will expose you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists.

Role accountabilities

Cultural Heritage – As part of our Cultural Heritage team, you will assist in the delivery of project-related tasks, such as conducting research, processing and managing heritage data in ArcGIS, assisting with the delivery of technical reports including Desk-based Assessments and other baseline reports, Heritage Statements, Heritage Impact Assessments and inputs to EIAs. You will undertake site visits in locations across the UK in line with project requirements. Where necessary these site visits may be conducted over multiple consecutive working days and will include overnight stays. In those instances, accommodation will be provided. You will also be given the opportunity to liaise with key heritage stakeholders including Historic England and Local Planning Authority Archaeologists and Conservation Officers.

  • Accepted degrees: MA / BA in Archaeology, Ancient History, or closely related subject.

Qualifications & Experience

  • You will be graduating in 2026 or have recently graduated with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master\'s or bachelor\'s degree
  • You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
  • Hold a full driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK
  • Comfortable with Site based working, when required for projects
