Arcadis is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the successful delivery of small to medium-sized projects within our Digital Transportation portfolio. This role sits in our Digital Intelligence business area, working with digital intelligence and deep human knowledge to create products and solutions that are holistic, agile, and data-driven.

Key responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Define project requirements, scope and deliverables; develop project plans and associated documents.
  • Project Delivery: Coordinate planning, execution and delivery of transportation-focused digital solutions; manage cross‑functional delivery teams across internal staff and external partners; track progress, monitor milestones, and ensure projects meet time, scope and budget requirements.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as key point of contact; facilitate meetings, status updates and documentation; build positive client relationships; support change management.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify and raise risks or blockers; support mitigation plans.
  • Problem‑Solving: Resolve issues or challenges that arise during project execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across UK, Ireland and internationally; participate in retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Business Development Support: Assist with proposal development; support preparation of presentations and demos for prospective clients.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Systems, Software Engineering or related field preferred; relevant professional experience considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience, preferably in digital solutions, transportation or infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience delivering projects through Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid practices.
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration skills in a team environment; experience coordinating stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Jira, Confluence or similar).
  • PMP or CAPM certification or willingness to pursue.
  • Quality driven, proactive, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, learn quickly and adapt to processes.
