Overview
In this role you will help deliver Arcadis' UK asset management strategy for rail depots and rolling stock, supporting and leading projects that optimise asset performance and value. You will collaborate with the Mobility, Design & Engineering, and Advisory teams to grow capabilities in rail asset management and advisory services. You will translate complex technical issues into practical recommendations for clients and stakeholders. This is a client-facing, growth-focused role with opportunities to develop as a technical SME and to mentor junior colleagues. You join a mission-driven firm delivering sustainable, data-driven asset management at scale.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical point of contact for rolling stock and depot asset management and related operational issues
- Lead and support delivery of projects, ensuring quality and budget targets are met
- Support implementation of the UK Mobility asset management strategy and global capability development
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Lead or contribute technical inputs to cross-boundary tenders for asset management opportunities
- Contribute to market engagement to identify future Rail Asset Management opportunities
Key requirements
- Background in depot operations and/or rolling stock asset management with rail industry experience
- Experience on rolling stock/depot asset management projects addressing strategic, tactical and operational challenges
- Ability to support and/or manage tenders, bids and technical proposals
- Strong understanding of operation and maintenance of rolling stock and depot assets in rail
- Knowledge of asset risk, failure and root cause analysis techniques (FMECA, Bow Tie, Fishbone) and ISO 55000 and related asset management processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to translate complex issues into clear recommendations
