We’re looking for an experienced Quality Coordinator to join our rapidly growing team. You will play a key role in the delivery of one of our biggest data centre construction projects in Finland. The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to Finland (11/3 rotations).
Role accountabilities:
- Daily on-site presence overseeing mechanical activities throughout construction, commissioning and handover phases
- Review and approval of ITPs, check-sheets, etc.
- Benchmarking workmanship standards
- Verifying ongoing works against benchmarks, ensuring compliance with established workmanship standards
- Developing QA/QC checklists and converting to BIM format for use with individual assets
- Ensuring contractors comply with their ITPs and complete QC checklists within BIM 360
- Confirming adherence to project specifications, IFC drawings, codes and standards
- Identifying discrepancies, overseeing, monitoring and expediting resolution of issues arising
- Verifying calibration status of monitoring and measuring equipment
- Monitor the progressive generation of red line drawings and as-built records
- Review and report on the accuracy of red-line and as built records
- Escalating potential quality issues to PMC Quality Manager, as required for resolution
- Identifying lessons learned and promoting continual improvement of operations
- Providing guidance and input to SPCs in pursuit of continual improvement
- Assisting with start-up and commissioning protocols, witnessing the commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, pumps, piping, critical cooling, fire protection, etc)
- Sign-off of completed construction works and checks before energisation
Skills:
- Bilingual Finnish (Native) & English (Fluent - written and oral) preferable but not essential
- Mechanical construction, maintenance or commissioning of data centers or other mission-critical environments
- Proficient in the interpretation and application of complex engineering drawings, schematics and specifications
- Understanding of ASHRAE standards and familiarity with BMS
- Strong understanding of local regulations and project management principles
- Strong IT ability (BIM 360 & Google suite)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively, prioritise and solve problems
- Detail-focussed
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc or BEng Mechanical Eng’g / Building Services Eng’g preferred / BTech level
- Extensive experience in a Quality Manager role on major construction projects
- Experience working on data centre/technology project experience preferred but not essential
- Experience working in consultancy, general contractor or client-side environments
