You could be part of establishing a major programme, offering you the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a national infrastructure project. While this is a fast‑paced and exciting challenge, you should be comfortable with uncertainty, ambiguity, and change.

Role accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to support contract execution, license approvals, and compliance efforts, escalating significant issues to senior management.
  • Assist in negotiating and administering project agreements with external parties such as local authorities and developers, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to resource planning by identifying current and future needs, coordinating recruitment or reallocation efforts with senior leadership.
  • Promote collaboration within multidisciplinary teams by supporting alignment on project goals, facilitating team discussions, and assisting with cross‑functional problem‑solving.
  • Uphold organizational values by demonstrating integrity, transparency, and ethical behaviour in all project‑related activities, while adhering to company policies and standards.
  • Commit to professional growth by participating in training programs, staying up to date on project management methodologies, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional Project management qualification e.g. APM PMQ or PMI equivalent.
  • Chartered Member (or working towards) or Full Membership of a relevant professional body (i.e. APM ChPP or APM MAPM).
  • Experience working within the Nuclear sector is advantageous; however, a background in any regulated environment (e.g., Rail, Water, Energy) will also be considered.
  • Basic understanding of nuclear industry regulations and safety requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge to project management tasks under guidance.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks in complex systems.
  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment, while helping develop team members’ skills and capabilities by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • A flexible mindset, with the capability to embrace change and uncertainty, and adapt to the emergent aspects of the job.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑party environment, supporting the Senior Project Manager in maintaining project momentum and alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example within the project team, exhibiting integrity, professionalism, and ethical behaviour.
