Our UK Resilience Water team is seeking experienced Principal / Senior Process Engineers to expand our Design & Engineering team. This role involves optioneering, outline, and detailed design inputs for UK Water Companies' frameworks, along with large‑scale design & build projects with contractor partners in treatment process engineering.
Role accountabilities:
- Liaison with clients to understand their specific requirements
- Preparation of outline and detailed design drawings and associated construction‑ready documentation
- Inputs to the development of feasibility‑level design and optioneering assessments
- Preparation of clear and well‑structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverables
- Liaison with contractors, supply chain, and other project stakeholders
- Mentoring and supporting development of less experienced staff
Qualifications & experience:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or suitable alternative qualification
- Chartered membership of an appropriate professional body (IChemE or CIWEM)
- Strong technical design experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Good working knowledge of Water Industry clients and contractors
- Motivation, influencing and people management skills
- Knowledge and experience of BIM‑led design and other process‑specific digital tools
- Understanding of applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice, and water specifications
