Reporting to the Bridges Team Leader, you will provide technical support into assigned projects ensuring successful delivery of technically challenging schemes. As we operate in such a diverse marketplace, we can safely say that you will gain an experience of working on a wide and varied portfolio of projects, including new build and existing assets, which will enhance your skills and test your technical knowledge. You will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of projects to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets, managing all aspects of the client relationship so that delivery exceeds client expectations, providing both direction and technical advice and leading by example where appropriate. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different offices, expanding your network and being supported in your development by a wide range of experts. AccountabilitiesExperience of providing technical leadership and advice to project team membersExperience of applying sound independent engineering judgement in the development of projectsCommercial awareness of engineering project deliveryMaintain and extend a sound theoretical approach to the application of technology in engineering practiceDiscuss ideas and plan competently and with confidenceEffective personal and social skillsExperience of delivery to a project's quality management systemHave a sound knowledge and experience of the management of design risksQualifications & ExperienceHave a BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng or equivalent in Structural / Civil EngineeringAchieved Chartered or Incorporated Engineer professional status, or equivalentHave previous relevant experience including supervision of elements of large, complex structural engineering projects - bridges, retaining walls etc across both new build and existing assets.
