Capital project delivery focus. Working as part of a team alongside members of the Cost & Commercial Management Career family to manage and deliver projects. Liaising with external contractors and consultants. Reporting to clients and stakeholders. Will provide cost management services on a mix of medium and large sized hospital developments or significant components of larger cost management assignments.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering the scope of work in line with various controls, with significant technical knowledge and experience in the field.
- Assisting in the coaching and development of other team members to share knowledge, increase team skill level and improve service delivery.
- Working within established financial systems and budgets to produce reports and forecasts, overseeing costing and variances to manage and control cost variables.
- Delivering small to medium cost projects and assignments or significant components of larger assignments, ensuring appropriate use of resources and budgets to meet deadlines.
- Providing advice on risk management, compliance and associated behaviours to ensure adherence to Arcadis' processes.
- Presenting project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted.
- Analysing and reviewing data and documents to collate key themes and trends, using this analysis to provide advice and make recommendations.
- Sharing knowledge and providing insightful recommendations to assist service improvement and innovation.
- Interacting effectively across the organisation to support collaboration with the cost management function.
- Providing specialist technical advice to senior management on cost/commercial management issues.
- Managing relationships and collaborating with clients and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and create new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Health sector experience is desirable, but not essential. Experience in delivering technically complex buildings can successfully be applied to hospitals.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and emerging leadership skills.
- Experience of working closely with external stakeholders to build client relationships.
- Capable of taking a project from inception to completion.
- Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
