We are recruiting for a Project Manager to work on Education (higher education) projects in England. This role encompasses project management and contract administration with successful candidates taking ownership of their own batch of projects for which they will oversee from inception through to completion and handover.
Day to day, the Project Manager will be responsible for driving the higher education projects forwards to ensure that progress is aligned to programmes and the project is developed in accordance with the client requirements. We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people's lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.
As a Project Manager you would own a batch of your own projects and be accountable for pushing them forwards in line with the agreed development programmes. You will have responsibility for co-ordinating the client-side team and specialists to progress the projects through the main stages of the client's project processes. It is expected that this would include:
- Leading and managing consultant teams through all RIBA stages
- Overseeing and monitoring the works to assure compliance with the contract
- Assuring the Contractor is held to account for quality
- Certifying works are compliant and complete
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience working on higher education projects is required
- Other education experience including schools, colleges and museums is desirable
- Experience in modernising, or expanding laboratory facilities is desirable
- Prior experience working within a consultancy environment is desirable
- MAPM or equivalent
