Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience in Agroecology and sustainable agriculture, Viticulture and enology, Horticultural science, Plant protection and integrated pest management, Soil science and agronomy, general, Golf course operation and grounds management.

Work setting: Willing to relocate. Transportation required.

Tasks:

  • Hire, supervise and schedule staff.
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property.
  • Schedule work.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance.
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials.
  • Maintain work records and logs.
  • Tender and administer contracts.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.

Supervision: 3-4 people.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Provincial licence/certification to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides and pesticides.

Equipment and machinery experience: Pick-up truck, small engine equipment.

Area of specialization: Lawn care, tree service.

Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence, own transportation, own vehicle, vehicle supplied by employer.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail.

Personal suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, team player, flexibility.

Experience: Experience an asset.

Location: 9505 Haldane Road, Winfield, BC V4V 1Z7.

Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour (to be negotiated) / 40 hours per week.

Terms of employment: Seasonal employment, full time, starts as early as 2027-01-08.
