Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensure that Company’s IT Policy is updated and adhered to;
• Provide day to day IT support to end-users within the company;
• Provide IT support for Vessels via remote tools or vessel visit if required;
• Support and ensure normal IT server operations within the company and vessels;
• Maintain and update Office Hardware inventory
• Administer Company\’s Marine ERP\’s;
• Ensure that backup and replication is done for ERP\’s and office servers
• Collaborate with other Business Units on new technological needs or expand uses for existing technologies to increase functionality or efficiency if required;
• Arrange or conduct IT training for new users or technologies;
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required;
• Maintain/create user documentation and training materials.
• Actively explore and deploy new software/hardware, unit standards, policies and procedures and effectively manages to achieve them when required;
• Other work as assigned by superiors from time to time.

Requirements (Qualification, knowledge, skills and abilities)

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support in a shipping Company is a must;
• Good team player and ability to work independently with initiative;
• Good communication skills;
• Good command of both verbal and written English
• Able to manage multiple projects/proposals
• Basic SQL Knowledge to run/apply queries.
• Experience of working on an ERP Software will an added advantage.
