A great first step into a career in law. Arcadia Law has an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our specialist property law team. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, has excellent attention to detail, communicates clearly, and is keen to learn. Previous legal experience is helpful but not at all essential. This could be a fantastic first step into law for the right person.
About the role
You will support our legal team with a range of property-related work, including lease extensions and freehold purchases dealing with lease documents, client enquiries, and general administration. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, helping to make sure clients receive a professional, efficient, and high-quality service.
What you will be doing
- Opening, organising, and managing client files
- Managing the statutory lease extension process under the 1993 Act
- Preparing and drafting notices, correspondence, forms, and documents
- Tracking key statutory deadlines and important dates
- Liaising with clients, surveyors, landlords, solicitors, and other parties
- Keeping clients updated on the progress of their matter
- Using the firm’s case management system
- Supporting the team with lease extension, freehold purchase, and other property-related work
- Assisting with general office administration, including calls and emails
- Helping with marketing tasks, such as articles, updates, or online content
- Ensuring work is carried out carefully and in line with firm procedures
Full training and support will be provided, but the successful applicant will be expected to take ownership of matters once trained.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and able to manage several tasks at once
- Careful and accurate, with excellent attention to detail
- A clear and confident communicator, both in writing and by phone
- A quick learner who is willing to ask questions and develop new skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Professional, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team
- Able to work independently once trained
- Passionate about providing excellent client service
The most important qualities are enthusiasm, organisation, accuracy, and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in law, property, administration, or customer service would be useful, but it is not essential.
