Arcade is opening a new site in central London right in Covent Garden! For our grand opening, a Restaurant Manager position awaits to open this beautiful space.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team at Arcade Covent Garden, one of London’s most exciting and pioneering food and drink destinations. With multiple global kitchens, a high‑energy bar, and over a thousand guests served daily (1.2k covers daily), this is an opportunity to lead at the heart of a fast‑paced, creative, and guest‑focused environment. Salary: up to £46,000 + Variable Tronc.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all departments.
- Act as second‑in‑command in the absence of the GM and AGM, taking full accountability for the venue.
- Champion exceptional guest experience through proactive leadership, real‑time service recovery, and team engagement.
- Drive a culture of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and compliance through daily walkthroughs, audits, and team awareness.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high‑performing team of managers and service staff across the restaurant and kitchen.
- Deliver structured training, feedback, and development plans to support career progression and performance.
- Oversee labour forecasting, rota planning, and weekly reporting in collaboration with the GM and AGM.
- Support financial performance by monitoring variable costs, analysing sales data, and driving commercial awareness.
- Uphold Arcade’s brand standards, culture, and ethos through hands‑on leadership, consistency, and clear communication.
- Act as a brand ambassador – inspiring your team and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and energetic workplace.
Required qualifications
- Currently a strong Assistant General Manager or an experienced Floor Manager in a large, fresh‑food‑led venue.
- Strong experience delivering structured training, feedback, and development plans.
- Proven experience leading large, high‑volume restaurants or hospitality venues (1k covers daily).
- Passionate about fresh food, global flavours, and high‑energy service environments.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Licensing compliance.
- Capable of leading, coaching, and inspiring a large team across multiple departments.
- Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing rotas, budgets, and cost controls.
- Hands‑on, approachable, and thrive in fast‑paced, guest‑driven environments.
- Communicate clearly and lead by example – balancing warmth with professionalism.
- Belief in developing people, fostering inclusion, and maintaining high standards at all times.
