About The Role
We are looking for a Pizza Chef Lead to join the kitchen team of one of London’s newest, stunning and most exciting venues – Arcade Covent Garden! We are looking for someone with commercial fast-paced kitchen experience who can hand-stretch dough, top pizzas, and cook them to perfection in our oven or who has the aptitude to learn how to do so. This is a practical, fast-paced role where no two days feel the same, and you will be working closely with a tight-knit team who love what they do. You will be working with an electric deck oven to create high volumes of consistently outstanding pizzas, from the stretch to the final bake.
We’d Love To Hear From You If You Bring:
- Pizza team leadership experience (essential)
- Hygiene and Food Safety Level 2 certificate (essential)
- Kitchen experience, a minimum of 2 years in a commercial setting (essential)
- Experience of making pizza and expertise in working with dough (essential)
- A passion for food, cooking and genuine interest in pizza making
- Confidence in prepping ingredients, knife skills, working cleanly, and keeping up in service
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and pay attention to detail
- A collaborative, proactive approach and positive energy on shift
- Reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and improve
- Pride in presentation and consistency
