Weβre working with a leading aerospace innovator seeking a Principal Avionics (HW/SW) Systems Consultant to play a key role in the development of high-integrity, safety-critical electronics systems. You will lead across embedded systems (hardware and software), driving architecture, development and certification of complex, safety-critical aerospace platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of embedded electronics and regulatory compliance, working cross-functionally with engineering and supplier teams.
Key skills & experience:
- Expertise in embedded systems development (HW + SW) for aerospace or other high-integrity environments.
- Strong knowledge of DO-254 and DO-178C processes.
- Experience with power electronics, motor controllers and safety systems.
- Proficient with microcontrollers, FPGAs, DSPs and associated interface circuits.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ARP4754A, ARP4761, ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
Contract: 6β12 months Outside IR35
Location: Bristol with hybrid working
