ARCA is supporting an aerospace programme seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist with detailed design. The role is hands-on, focused on CAD generation, detailing and design maturation across rotor components such as blades, hubs, spinners and blade pitch mechanisms.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies
- Create 2D detail drawings suitable for formal release
- Support design iteration as loads, stress and manufacturing inputs mature
- Work closely with Stress, Manufacturing and Checking teams to resolve design issues
- Prepare CAD and drawing packs for PLM release
Design inputs:
- System and component requirements
- Existing CAD models and assemblies
- 2D & 3D Design including GD&T
- Stress feedback, load cases and FEM inputs
Tools:
- 3DXPLM / configuration management systems
Contract details:
- Bristol-based (hybrid)
- Outside IR35
- February start - contract through to year-end
