About the Opportunity

With ambitious product roadmaps and increasing delivery complexity, they are seeking a hands-on, change‑driving Head of PMO who can stand up and shape a credible PMO at pace in a complex, regulated engineering environment. This is a high‑impact contract role where you’ll shape how work gets delivered across the business – aligning teams, driving governance, and ensuring key initiatives land successfully.
The Role
As Head of PMO, you’ll establish and lead a fit‑for‑purpose PMO function that supports rapid growth without slowing innovation. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to prioritise initiatives, optimise delivery frameworks, and improve visibility across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up and embedding a scalable PMO framework aligned to business goals
- Owning portfolio planning, prioritisation, and reporting
- Driving delivery governance while maintaining agility
- Coaching and supporting project/program managers
- Establishing clear KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards
- Identifying risks, dependencies, and delivery bottlenecks
- Partnering with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading or building a PMO in a fast‑paced, scaling environment
- Strong background in programme and portfolio management
- Comfortable operating in tech‑driven or digital product organisations
- Experience balancing governance with agile ways of working
- Exceptional stakeholder management, including C‑suite
- Data‑driven mindset with strong reporting and communication skills
