Arca Resourcing is supporting a growing specialist engineering business in Gloucester operating within the UK energy and infrastructure sector to appoint a Quantity Surveyor. This opportunity is open to individuals ranging from junior through to intermediate level. You do not need to come from a utilities background — candidates from construction, engineering, infrastructure, or other contract-led environments are encouraged to apply.
A working knowledge of NEC4 contracts is essential for this role.
The Role
- Reporting to senior leadership, you will support the commercial and contractual management across the business, with particular emphasis on:
- Supporting the management and administration of client and subcontractor contracts
- Assisting with NEC4 contract processes, including early warnings and compensation events
- Ensuring contractual documentation, insurances, and compliance records are accurate and up to date
- Supporting contract reviews, amendments, and governance processes
- Working with internal teams to ensure contractual obligations are understood and delivered
- Maintaining organised records of contracts and commercial documentation
- Supporting risk identification and ensuring appropriate commercial controls are in place
About You
- Experience in a Quantity Surveyor, Assistant QS, or commercial role
- Working knowledge of NEC4 contracts (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Commercially aware with a structured and methodical approach
- Confident communicator, able to work with internal teams and external stakeholders
