ARCA is supporting an aerospace programme to bring in an experienced Battery Design Engineer on a contract basis.
This is a hands-on role within the Battery team, focused on detailed mechanical design and design ownership across high-performance battery pack assemblies.
The work:
- Detailed mechanical design and development of battery pack assemblies
- Design of housings, enclosures and internal battery components
- Injection-moulded components, sheet metal, cast parts and sealing
- Packaging and integration of HV components
- Designing with consideration for creepage & clearance, busbars and electrical bolted joints
- Supporting designs from concept through to manufacture and assembly
- Working closely with electrical, manufacturing, analysis and wider engineering teams
What they’re looking for:
- Strong mechanical / product design experience within battery, EV, automotive, aerospace or another complex engineering environment
- Experience with injection moulding, sheet metal, cast components and sealing
- Good understanding of HV electrical considerations within mechanical design
- CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE experience preferred
