We’re looking for an experienced Test Technician to support the build and development of advanced electric drive systems in a fast-paced R&D environment. This is a fantastic chance to work at the forefront of electric propulsion technology, operating advanced dynamometer facilities and supporting innovative engineering programmes shaping the future of mobility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Setting up and operating dynamometers, test rigs, and associated equipment
- Installing motors, inverters, gearboxes, and units under test
- Configuring sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
- Running performance, durability, efficiency, and validation testing
- Monitoring tests, identifying faults, and ensuring safe, repeatable execution
- Capturing, validating, and logging test data accurately
- Supporting engineers with analysis and reporting of results
- Maintaining and calibrating dynos, sensors, and test equipment
- Troubleshooting rig and equipment issues
- Helping improve test methods, fixtures, and facility capability
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient test environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience operating test rigs for motors, inverters, or electric drive systems
- Strong electrical and electromechanical fault-finding skills
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers, DAQ systems, and insulation testers
- Good data handling and reporting skills
- Mechanical and electrical installation/maintenance experience
- Knowledge of HV safety, lockout/tagout, and safe systems of work
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline
