ARCA is supporting an aerospace programme to bring in a Lead Design Engineer on a contract basis. The role focuses on design checking support to address peak detailed design and release activity across the delivery phases.

The work:

  • Design & Checking of 3D CAD models for geometry, interfaces and standards compliance
  • Design & Checking of 2D drawings for dimensions, tolerances, notes and release readiness
  • Verification of interface consistency across related parts and assemblies
  • Capture and closure of checking comments to maintain release throughput

What they’re looking for:

  • Confident user of CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE (3Dx)
  • Experience operating at design check / approval level is a strong advantage
  • Composite design experience would be beneficial

Details:

  • Contract: 4–5 months initially – outside IR35
  • Location: Bristol with hybrid working
